Ganesh Statue with Gold Dusted Face
Ganesh Statue with Gold Dusted Face
Handcrafted Copper Ganesh Statue with Gold Dusted Face. Lord Ganesh, or Ganesha who is also known as Ganapati is one of the most notable and most worshipped deities in the Hindu culture. Although he is known by many attributes, Lord Ganesh's elephant head makes him easy to identify. Ganesh is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honoured at the start of rites and ceremonies. This statue has four arms, which is common in depictions of Ganesh. He holds his own broken tusk in his lower-right hand and holds a laddo, a hindu desert, which he samples with his trunk, in his lower-left hand. He also has a third eye upon his forehead. The third eye represents intelligence. The mouse at the bottom is Ganesh's vahana (mount/vehicle).
