A mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas may be employed for focusing attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation and trance induction. One well-known type of mandala is the mandala of the "Five Buddhas", archetypal Buddha forms embodying various aspects of enlightenment.
The Green Tara was believed to be incarnated as the Nepali princess. She is considered by some to be the original Tara and is the female consort of Amoghasiddhi , one of the “self-born” Buddhas. The mantra of Green Tara is : "Om tare tuttare ture svaha"
Amitabha Buddha is one of the 5 forms of Dhyani-Buddha. As a bestower of longevity, Amitabha is called Amitayus, or “Infinite Life.” He is depicted holding the ambrosia vase from which spill the jewels of eternal life.
