Carved Copper Kapala

Handcrafted Copper Kapalas. These Kapalas or skullcups, are used as ritual implements in Vajrayana and tantric practices. Traditionally made out of human skull, skullcups are used to represent the transformation of delusion into wisdom. The kapala itself is a symbol of wisdom (prajna) and knowledge that leads to enlightenment. Symbols like Shankha and kalash are also engraved which are considered 'auspicious' in hindu culture.
